Turkish Handmade Sarma Recipe -—————————-
### Ingredients:
- 1 bowl of rice
- 1 bowl of water
- 1 bowl of canned seasoned tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp red pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon’s juice
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 bunch of dill
- 1.5 bowl of ground beef
- 1 bowl of boiled green lentils
- 1 bowl of boiled chickpeas
- 2 bowls of fermented cabbage leaves
### Instructions:
Step 1:
Chop onion and garlic. Add olive oil to a pan and stir fry the onion and garlic until onion softens. Add in the ground beef and brown it. Cut off the stove when the meat is cooked.
Step 2:
Add cooked green lentils and chickpeas to the meat mixture.
Step 3:
Grate washed parsley and dill over the mixture. Add salt, black pepper, red pepper and cumin. Squeeze the lemon juice onto the mixture and mix well.
Step 4:
Fill the fermented cabbage leaves with the mixture. Fold the leaves to make boats. Then, put all the boats into a pot. Mix canned seasoned tomato paste with the water and pour it into the pot. Boil the Sarma at low heat for 30-40 minutes.
