Recette Tchaï : Tchaï / Chaï (thé Indien)

First things first, let’s start with the ingredients. You will need:

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 6 cloves
  • 1/4 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 2 tbsp loose black tea
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp honey (optional)

How to prepare this magic potion:

1. Pour the water into a saucepan and add the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, peppercorns, and ginger. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

2. Add the black tea to the saucepan and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit for another 5 minutes.
