Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 250 milliliters of whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder

Instructions

  • Step 1: Clean the cauliflower, cut it into small florets, and then wash it thoroughly.
  • Step 2: In a large sauté pan or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Step 3: Once the oil is hot, add the cauliflower florets and cook them for a few minutes, until they are lightly browned on both sides.
  • Step 4: Add the spices (turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and black pepper) to the cauliflower and mix well. Cook the cauliflower for another few minutes until the spices are well incorporated into the dish.
  • Step 5: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the pan with the cauliflower, and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Step 6: Once the sauce has thickened, pour the cauliflower mixture into an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and nutmeg powder on top of the cauliflower, and then bake the dish in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Step 7: Once the Dunes Blanches are finished baking, remove them from the oven, and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them hot, and enjoy their amazing taste.
