Recette Cremme : Easy Creme Brulee

Nothing says decadence quite like a rich, creamy creme brulee, and lucky for you, I’ve got just the recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth. Let’s get started, shall we?

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons turbinado sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg yolks, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly among four 4-ounce ramekins.
  4. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custards are set but still slightly jiggly in the centers.
  6. Remove the ramekins from the water bath and let them cool to room temperature.
  7. Once the custards are cool, sprinkle a teaspoon of turbinado sugar over the top of each one.
  8. Using a kitchen torch, melt the sugar until it is golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Allow the sugar to cool and harden for a minute or two.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
