Hello mes amis, I have a delicious recipe to share with you all today! It’s a protein-packed brownie recipe that will satisfy your sweet tooth without undoing all of your hard work at the gym. Plus, it’s made with healthier ingredients so you can indulge guilt-free.
The Ingredients:
For this recipe, you will need:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
The Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350F and line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until they are smooth.
- Add in the applesauce, peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the almond flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them in at this point.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and smooth it out with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
These brownies are the perfect balance of chewy and fudgy, and the chocolate chips (if you decide to use them) add a little extra decadence. Plus, with all of the protein from the almond flour and protein powder, they make a great post-workout snack.
